Getting botox in today’s world has become as normal as going home and cooking dinner, local beautician Sue Caruana recently claimed on the latest episode of The She Word podcast.

The personal opinions were shared during the latest episode of Trudy Kerr’s podcast, which aims to shed light on conversations that women rarely have, but really should be having.

“You go home and cook and eat, and that’s your normal routine like you also go and have your botox done and your fillers done, and this is the norm,” Sue Caruana claimed.

“Ten years ago, it was more something that if you had done, you didn’t want to talk to people about it, you wouldn’t want to tell them,” Sue said in the opening parts of the podcast.

“The way it was done as well it was a little bit more obvious – so if someone had to get botox done they would have this kind of frozen look,” she explained.

“So even though it wasn’t the beginning of it 10 years ago, it was the beginning in the sense that things take time before they become mainstream or normal.”

“Trends have changed, education has increased, and the results are very different today as well.”

“For example, my face is full of botox and fillers. But I don’t think that many people would look at me and say look how much she has, but I’m telling you, I am full of it, I have it in my lips, I have it in my cheeks, I have it in my forehead, I have it everywhere,” she said.

She continued to explain that even though she has a lot of botox, it hasn’t given her a ‘Barbie’ or fake look, pointing out that the trend has changed a lot.

“It’s something that we’re exposed to all the time, on Instagram and Tiktok, so we see it and it has become normal.”
