In Photos: Powerful Scenes From CPD’s Recent Firefighting Operation At Naxxar Business Centre
In light of the recent industrial fire that broke out at the Hard Rocks Business Park in Naxxar last Thursday, the Civil Protection Department (CPD) shared some powerful images taken from the operation.
The operation was long and gruelling, with fires persisting for hours on end. The personnel on site made sure that any people in the vicinity were safe.
However, events like these do not come without predicaments. Three firefighters sustained injuries after a roof collapsed on them during the operation, two of which were transferred to Mater Dei for treatment.
A series of powerful images were shared, showcasing the inner workings of the operation, on the organisation’s Facebook page earlier today.
“In the face of fire, we found strength. Through exhaustion, we persevered,” the post read.
Firefighters work tirelessly day and night to keep our population safe from some of the most dangerous things we can face in our life. They go toe to toe with these dangers just so we don’t have to.
Comments on posts from the organisation showed nothing but admiration the public has for these heroes, constantly praising their efforts.
