Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, the executive head of the Malta Council for Science and Technology, has appealed to the general public for help in identifying a thief.

“This foreign man [sic] entered my Ħaż-Żebbuġ clinic yesterday at 4pm, and stole a painting by Dominique Ciancio,” Pullicino Orlando wrote on Facebook. “I’d appreciate help. If you have any information, you can contact me in full confidentiality on 99490084.”

Pullicino Orlando was recently in the news after he contested a casual election to fill the parliamentary seat left by former Finance Minister Edward Scicluna.

He narrowly lost out to Gavin Gulia, only for Gulia to immediately resign his seat, paving the way for the co-option of former Disability Commissioner Oliver Scicluna.
