Joseph Muscat Met With Simon Schembri And Asked Him To Remain On The Police Force

Police Constable Simon Schembri and his family were invited to to meet Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and other members of the government. During the meeting, the Prime Minister asked if it would be possible for the policeman to remain on the force and continue to serve as an inspiration to others.

Constable Schembri, who is set to receive a artificial arm and bionic hand, thanked the government for their support and assisting his recovery.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health, Chris Fearne, Minister of the Interior and National Security Michael Farrugia, Police Commissioner Lawrence Cutajar and Permanent Secretary Kevin Mahoney.
