Kalkara Woman At Risk Of Dying After Serious Motorcycle Crash In Paola
A woman has been left fighting for her life after being seriously injured in a traffic incident in the limits of Paola and Bormla.
The 52-year-old woman, who lives in Kalkara, was riding her motorcycle when, for an unknown reason, she collided with a Ford Fiesta being driven by a 36-year-old man from Afghanistan.
The collision occurred in Għajn Dwieli on Wednesday, in the limits of Paola and Bormla
Following the crash, heavy traffic was reported in the area
The police and a medical assistance team from Mater Dei were called onto the site to assist the woman. An ambulance rushed her to hospital, where she was confirmed to be at risk of death.
The motorcycle was damaged in the crash, as well as the car, which received damage to the rear mudguard and rear headlights.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud has opened an inquiry into the collision.
