Kurdt Busuttil has been identified as the 28-year-old man from Birżebbuġa who tragically lost his life yesterday evening following a traffic incident near the cemetery in Ħal Lija.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a collision occurred between a car driven by a 24-year-old man from Iklin, another car driven by a 36-year-old man from Żebbuġ, and the motorcycle ridden by the victim.

The motorcyclist received medical assistance from a medical team and was transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Unfortunately, the man was certified as dead shortly after.

Magistrate Dr Rachel Montebello was informed of the case and ordered an inquiry, while the police investigations are ongoing.
