The first, a conference titled, Dementia in Malta: Current and Future Perspectives that will take place on 6th September at the Hilton hotel, aiming to educate and raise further awareness of dementia to health and social care professionals, dementia researchers and the general public, with the participation of the Ministry of Health and the Departments of Nursing and Gerontology from the University of Malta.

Multiple speakers, both local and international, who are currently leading in the dementia field will be presenting their views on how dementia is affecting Maltese and European societies. There will also be workshops with activities designed to help improve the quality of life for people with dementia.

The second, a Gala dinner at Hilton Merkanti. This is an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the achievements and efforts made by the Society, and to raise funds to help them carry out community activities to help and support those living with dementia in Malta.

Attendees will have the luxury of a delicious five-course buffet al fresco, and half a bottle of free wine per person, drinks, music, dancing, awards, and the opportunity to raise funds in an Auction and raffle event.
