A local high-end department store is taking a stand against domestic violence for International Women’s Day, by collecting gently pre-owned clothes for a woman’s shelter.

“Here’s to the fighters and survivors,” Mavenry wrote, launching their initiative.

A clothing deposit box placed in their Tigne Point store welcomes drop-offs for women all throughout March. All the clothes will be delivered to Dar Merhba Bik, a shelter for women that are domestic violence survivors.

According to the brand, this initiative is the first public introduction to Mavenry’s sustainability and waste reduction ethos, marking the company’s core values on marking positive contributions to society.
