The Malta Police Band took centre stage in a touching commemorative concert organised by the Ħaż-Żabbar Local Council, marking 50 years since the Vulcan XM645 crash, one of Malta’s most tragic air disasters.

The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the 1975 tragedy, which deeply affected both the Żabbar community and the nation as a whole.

During the ceremony, Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà laid a wreath at a newly inaugurated memorial, honouring those who lost their lives in the crash.

The evening was filled with emotion, reflection, and unity, a powerful reminder of how Żabbar continues to remember and honour its history five decades later.
