Malta Public Transport Rolls Out Free Wi-Fi Pilot Project
50 of Malta’s buses will now have free, public Wi-Fi for everyone on board. The announcement was made earlier today by Malta Public Transport at a press conference held outside of Junior College.
Routes which will be benefitting from the new incentive include those towards Mater Dei, the University, Valletta’s internal route, and two Gozitan vehicles.
The incentive is part of a pilot project over the next three months, where feedback will be raised with the hopes of introducing the service on all the buses by the end of the year.
So get ready to say goodbye to your ever-increasing 4G bill every time you have a traffic-filled trip across the island.
Hopefully this addition to the bus’ services will encourage even more people to switch to public transport whenever they can, while also making the life of those who rely on the buses a little bit easier.
It also sees Malta getting one step closer to having Wi-Fi across the island in as many public spaces as possible.
