Maltese Graffiti Artist Calls Out Media For Incorrectly Politicising His Work

A Maltese artist that painted over an old mural of his in the Msida Skate Park was confused to find a local media house reporting that government workers had sprayed over his political mural.

Twitch, the Maltese street artist behind some of Malta’s most interesting pieces of street art, has now called out Net News for running with a false story – even after he called them up to clarify that it was he, and not government workers, that had sprayed over his infamous mural.

“The mural had been done for Halloween – we wanted to do something fresh so we painted over it ourselves. We decided to redo it ourselves,” he said to Lovin Malta.

The article in question

In a public post, the artist criticised what had happened as “crazy stuff”. He called out the misinformation and attempt to spin his priming of his own mural for a mini-festival happening this month.
