It has just been confirmed that the Maltese woman who brutally attacked Anastasiya Rallo at her own salon in Qawra has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

Yesterday, the attacker was given a sentence of two years’ imprisonment, suspended for four years.

CCTV footage of the incident, which happened in January, was part of the evidence provided against the defence team.

The attack left Anastasiya with a scar on her face and she has now decided to take the attacker to civil court for damages.

”I’m still offended as a human being,” Anastasiya told Lovin Malta. “I had to have six stitches on my face. People may not think it is a big deal, but I am a beautician, and I have to see my scar every day.”

The victim’s lawyer was Dr Robert Piscopo.
