Man At Risk Of Dying After Motorcycle Crash In Ċirkewwa
A Gozitan motorcyclist is currently fighting for his life at Mater Dei Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a crash in Ċirkewwa.
Yesterday, at around 4.30 pm, the 61-year-old man from Żebbuġ was rushed to hospital after he crashed into the road’s safety barrier and fell. The reason for the crash is unknown.
The crash left southbound traffic at a standstill yesterday evening.
A police statement revealed that the accident took place in Triq il-Marfa and that the man was riding a Honda motorcycle.
He received medical assistance and was immediately taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where his condition was certified as serious.
Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici is heading the inquiry into the matter, while police investigations are ongoing.
