Man At Risk Of Dying After Swimming In St George’s Bay

A 56-year-old man is fighting for his life after he found himself in distress while swimming in St Julian’s.

Yesterday, at around 5.30pm, Police were notified that an individual required help in St George’s Bay.

The police, along with a Mater Dei medical team, convened at the site immediately. There they found a 56-year-old Polish man lying on the ground after he had been pulled out of the sea by nearby individuals.

The man was immediately given medical assistance and taken to Mater Dei hospital via ambulance where it was certified that he had sustained serious injuries.

Police investigations are currently underway.
