Man Dies After Head-On Collision In Żebbuġ
A van driver died after a head-on collision with a truck in Żebbuġ earlier this morning.
The incident took at 10:00am in Triq l-Imdina.
Initial investigations revealed a collision occurred between an Isuzu ELF van driven by a 40-year-old Indian living in Ħamrun and a DAF truck driven by a 61-year-old man from Tarxien.

The driver of the truck was not injured however the van driver was assisted by members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team from Mater Dei.
The man was transported to Mater Dei by ambulance and unfortunately was certified dead after some time.
Magistrate Joseph Mifsud was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry while police investigations are still ongoing.
