A 52-year-old man lost his life in a car accident in Naxxar yesterday evening.

Police were informed of the incident which took place at 6.00pm In Triq il-Katakombi.

Initial investigations revealed the British man, who lived in St Paul’s Bay, lost control of the Ford Ka he was driving, crashed into a private residence and overturned.

A medical team together with members from the Civil Protection Department went immediately to the scene to assist but unfortunately the man was certified dead on site.

Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici is leading an inquiry while police investigations are ongoing.
