The accident was initially reported by TVM News, who reported that a young man was walking with two other individuals before falling off a cliff sometime before 3.30pm at which point first responders were called to make their way to the scene.

The Civil Protection Department (CPD) told Lovin Malta that responders were dispatched to the location to lift the man up from the bottom of the cliffs, after being requested for assistance by medical staff.

CPD also informed the newsroom that the operation was completed successfully and that the injured was promptly admitted to Mater Dei Hospital.
