Man Seriously Injured In Fireworks Factory Accident In Qrendi

A 48-year-old man was seriously injured while carrying out work related to fireworks production at the Lourdes Fireworks Factory in Qrendi.

The incident took place yesterday at around 9pm at the factory, located on Triq taż-Żellieqa.

The man, a resident of Qrendi, received first aid at the scene from a medical team before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici has appointed an inquiry into the case, while police investigations are currently underway.
