A 69-year-old Żejtun resident was stabbed earlier this afternoon during a heated argument in Paola.

Police officials were informed of the incident in Triq Lampuka at 12.15pm and quickly went to the scene. 

One of the men was taken to hospital where it was confirmed that he was injured by a sharp and pointed object, however, he is not at risk of dying. The police are currently awaiting his condition. 

As of now, there are no details of the other man, but the police informed Lovin Malta that he is currently with the police as they investigate the incident.
