Marzia Calleja Maatouk’s Funeral To Be Held This Friday In Ħaż-Żebbuġ
Marzia Calleja Maatouk will finally be laid to rest after an unprecedented delay, following months of legal disputes for her repatriation.
The announcement was made earlier today by Marzia’s brother, Marvin Zammit, who has been updating the public on the situations unfolding regarding his sister.
“We have finally brought Marzia back home. Her funeral will take place on Friday 13th December at Żebbug Parish Church at 8am,” Zammit said, “We welcome all those who knew and loved her to join us in saying goodbye and honour her memory. Thank you for your continued support in this difficult time.”
After a magisterial inquiry, that caused the postponing of the initial funeral date, and a long legal battle to have Marzia’s body repatriated back to Malta from Libya, Marzia will finally be laid to rest.
Rest in peace Marzia.
