‘Millions Of Unborn Babies Are Killed’: Malta President Compares Abortion To Holocaust
Malta’s President has compared one of the most horrific crimes against humanity to a common, safe and sometimes life-saving medical procedure.
During an event at San Anton Palace for Holocaust Remembrance Day, President George Vella proclaimed that 80 years after the Holocaust, he still sees “a mentality of death” that is leading to the extermination of millions of people, including “millions of unborn babies”.
“Today, unfortunately, some human beings continue to face these atrocities, albeit not in such large numbers together. The ideology that certain people are superior to others still exists,” he said.
“Millions of unborn babies are killed before they ever have the chance to see the light of day,” the President proclaimed.
The Holocaust Memorial Commemoration marks 78 years since the liberation of Auschwitz, the notoriously brutal Nazi death camp. Roughly six million Jews, alongside Gypsies, members of the LGBTIQ community, communists and various others were killed due to the Nazi regime.
The flames of the abortion fire have risen again in recent months, with Malta’s Parliament voting in favour of a bill that would decriminalise terminating a pregnancy if the mother’s health is at severe risk.
Still, around 300 to 400 women in Malta who can afford to, travel to get abortions abroad each year, while others, including an 18-year-old cancer patient and an American woman on holiday, found their health in danger due to the blanket ban.
