The Nepal Malta Charity Organisation and environmental foundation Coast Is Clear recently joined forces for a cleanup operation at Mellieħa’s Paradise Bay.

As a result, several bags of rubbish were collected from the site, which was in great need of some tender loving care.

The Nepalese charity was established back in 2022 by Prakash Bhandari to support the Nepali diaspora. It interacts with other Maltese NGOs, to fulfill its mission of helping achieve a cleaner environment and purer air.

Meanwhile, Coast Is Clear is a foundation headed by Mark Galea Pace, which organises several similar cleanup campaigns throughout the Maltese islands.

“This was the first time, with a promise to conduct many more in the coming days with a larger number of people joining hands together for this good deed,” the Nepal Charity told Lovin Malta.

“Wherever you live, whether it’s in your own country or in a foreign land, it has to be treated as your own home and the home deserves to be kept well neat and clean,” it appealed.

The Nepal Charity also expressed that it would like to extend a hand to other local kindred NGOs and the general public to cooperate on similar undertakings.
