One Week To Go: Malta Unites For DAR Bjorn Telethon
Malta is counting down to the DAR Bjorn Telethon, the grand finale of ALS Malta+’s “Miegħek Jien” campaign. This year’s theme, inspired by the story of Bjorn Formosa and his unwavering support network, is more than a slogan, it’s a promise of solidarity, love and courage for every patient living with a neurological condition.
The telethon supports the completion of DAR Bjorn Respite, Malta’s first-ever short-stay neurological care home. The facility will provide state-of-the-art care not only for people living with ALS but also for the broader national neurological population, giving patients comfort, dignity and specialised attention in a short-stay setting.
ALS Malta+ has long supported those with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis by offering medical guidance, practical help and emotional support for patients and families. DAR Bjorn Respite represents a major step forward, delivering innovative care solutions that were previously unavailable in Malta.

Donations made during the telethon go directly to making this vision a reality. Donors also have the chance to win prizes including a trip for two to Dubai with ROCS Travel, an iPhone given away every hour and home appliances from Midea Malta.
On the eve of the event, tune in to TVM at 8.45pm for LeġġenDARju, a concert featuring some of Malta’s favourite singers.
