Paving Playgrounds For Parking Lots: 3-Storey Car Park To Be Constructed Underneath Park In Sliema
The Planning Commission has approved a new multi-storey parking lot beneath a playground in Sliema.
The site, which is next to the infamous Torri in Sliema, will see see the demolition of the existing playground and the construction of a three storey car park with a new overlying playground.
The idea will be to utilise the space underneath as efficiently as possibly; while also creating new high quality recreational facilities at street level.
The planning application was submitted by the Sliema Local Council.
