Point 2 Point: Trio Take On Gruelling Malta-Gozo Challenge For Charity

Three lifelong friends are about to take on a challenge that would break most of us. On 27th September Daniel Abela, Douglas Barbaro Sant and Joseph Casha will run swim and cycle their way across Malta and Gozo in a one-day endurance mission with one goal in mind: raising money for Hospice Malta and The Children in Need Foundation.
The GasanMamo Point 2 Point Challenge kicks off in Gozo at 06:00 and will finish at Hospice Malta in Hamrun around 17:00. Their target is ambitious, €163,828, and they are calling on the public and businesses to help them get there.
This is more than a sporting feat. It is a story of friendship and purpose. The trio were inspired by the tireless work of the two charities and wanted to use their passion for sport to give back to their community. Behind them is a back-up team ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely with thanks also going to Transport Malta and Steve Darmanin for their support.

Funds will be split equally between Hospice Malta and The Children in Need Foundation. Hospice Malta provides free holistic care to over 1,560 families every year supporting patients with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer ALS multiple sclerosis and end-stage organ diseases. Services range from home visits and equipment loans to emotional and spiritual support — all funded by donations.
The Children in Need Foundation works to improve the lives of vulnerable children with a strong focus on mental well-being for those in care homes. To date it has raised over €1 million supporting therapy education holidays for sick children autism centres and safe spaces for homeless youth including the recently launched K.I.D.S. Haven project at YMCA.
Corporate contributions begin at €1,500 but every donation counts no matter the size. You can support directly here: Donate Now.
This is not just about finishing a race. It is about helping families in need and giving children a fairer chance in life. So share this story support if you can and let’s help these three friends turn sweat and sore muscles into something that truly lasts.
