Weeks of surveillance have yielded their results as the Drug Squad arrested two persons after discovering 130 kilos of cannabis in a garage in Żejtun.

A Magisterial Inquiry was appointed to the case, with both persons expected to be arraigned shortly on charges of aggravated possession.

The latest bust follows record finds by both customs and the police in the last two and a half years.

Police investigations are still underway.
