Poster For The 10 Month Vigil Of Daphne Caruana Galizia Vandalised With Crude Language On The Day
A poster advertising the 10 month anniversary vigil in memory of slain journalist Daphne was vandalised just hours before the vigil occurred. The poster originally read: “Please join us here for a vigil on Thursday 16th August at 8:30pm: 10 months”.
However, someone had crudely written “Fuck You” all over the poster, and left it in place. Activists who attended the vigil have removed the poster since finding it. It is unknown who vandalised the poster
People attending the vigil laid a banner across the Court’s doors
A banner asking “Who Commissioned Daphne’s Assassins?” was laid across the gates leading to the Law Courts in Valletta as attendees of the vigil continued to demand justice for the murdered journalist.
The makeshift memorial has become a flashpoint for many groups, with placards about the ‘Egrant Crooks’ placed on the memorial just last month.
