Qormi Local Council Lists Penis Pothole For Repairs Following Sudden Viral Graffiti
The Qormi local council is in the process of filling a pothole after a spray-painted penis appeared on it in front of a school.
Lovin Malta reached out to the local council and Infrastructure Malta (IM) earlier today after reports of the graffiti took social media by storm yet again, mirroring a similar case in San Ġwann earlier this month.
When asked whether these potholes have been flagged by the community before and if such a method of protest is necessary, Deputy Executive Secretary, Marilyn Baldacchino Gatt, clarified that no such reports were made prior to the graffiti appearing in Misraħ Narbona, near St Sebastian School.
Infrastructure Malta, despite not commenting on the graffiti itself, explained that instances of residential road maintenance are the responsibility of the locality’s respective local council. Meanwhile, it also highlighted that any reports of damages to arterial and distributorial roads, are to be issued to IM directly.
The local council acknowledged this fact and promptly listed the area for repairs for the council’s contractor, to be carried out with the next works order.
Baldacchino Gatt urged Qormi residents to direct any issues or to raise awareness for any hazards to it directly via the landline 21440101 or via Whatsapp on 79440123.
