As reported by the Times of Malta, an investigation has been opened after a roof partially collapsed at an old house next to a construction site in Mosta early this morning.

Jesmond Camilleri, the man living in the building on Triq l-Isperanza, Mosta, was woken up by a loud noise on Tuesday night and has now been ordered to move out of his house along with his dog.

Thankfully neither were hurt and The Building Construction Authority and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority stated they are running a joint investigation.

The demolition and construction works next door were ordered to stop immediately although sources say no works have been carried out at the site since December.

This is the second incident of this nature this week after two balconies collapsed in Qawra on Monday.
