Connecting Through Culture, the Ta’ Xbiex Local Council’s long-standing event is back for its sixth edition. Home to a whole host of foreign embassies, Ta’ Xbiex is known as the Diplomatic Capital of Malta.

Uniting different cultures in one event, this celebration is all about promoting culture through gastronomy, music, and so much more.

Get ready to be mesmerised by an exciting lineup that will be taking to the stage on the 23rd of July.

Expect street performers, both local and international music acts, Brazilian capoeira, Spanish flamenco, dancers from India, belly dancers, a unique brass band, bagpipes, an illusionist, and specialised children’s area. Local artisans, food stalls filled with delicious food and exhibition stands are just some of the highlights of this event.

Known for its gorgeous characteristic promenade the Ta’ Xbiex Seafront, is this year’s venue for the Connecting Through Culture event.

Apart from celebrating Maltese culture, the event will celebrate the diversity of nationalities represented in Malta highlighting traditional and cultural aspects from Australia, Spain, Italy, Brazil, India, Germany, Palestine and more.

There will be two stages and some seating and high tables on a first come first served basis that will be set up on the Ta’ Xbiex promenade. The main stage programme is coordinated by the local council with the participation of several diplomatic missions, whilst the second stage is supported by Storeroom

Known as a safe space where artists and creators alike can meet, discuss and share their work, it was only natural that Storeroom will support this event by offering an eclectic concert programme.

This event is organised by the Ta’ Xbiex Local Council, and it is supported by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Local Government, the Malta Tourism Authority and Charles Grech.
