Take your pick! FM Theatre Productions brings you not one, but two pantos this Christmas!
The Teatru Manoel in Valletta will be blessed by the whimsical performance of ‘Rapunzel: A Tangled Panto’ that will mark the directorial debut of Luke Mercieca.
Featuring a cast of panto icons like Edward Mercieca and fan-favourite Chiara Hyzler alongside other stellar cast members who will tell the story of on a quirky rescue mission, to save the titular Rapunzel.
Across the waters on Gozo, the third installment of the actor-musician panto series will come to life at the Teatru Astra, with the electric performance of ‘Red Riding Hood: A Rock n’ Roll Panto.’
Under the direction of Chris Gatt and Cathy Lawlor, a dynamic ensemble of characters will not just act, but also rock, with live music performances. Starring Rebecca Darmanin as the titular Red Riding Hood alongside Sean Borg in the role of Dame, paired with many other multi-talented stars.
So take your pick and choose whether you want to spend the night in a whimsical and quirky land, or knock your socks off with a rocking performance… or if you’re feeling adventurous, why not both?
Performances at Teatru Manoel will run from the 22nd December till 5th January with shows at 3pm and 8pm.
Meanwhile, Teatru Astra will be hosting its shows from 26th until 30th December, with varying times.
