Anthea Mamo has officially been named as the winner of the Tallinja Drawing Competition which was organised by Malta Public Transport to select a new design for the children’s tallinja card.
Anthea’s drawing beat over 400 other entries from children attending 22 different primary schools across Malta and Gozo.
“We were pleasantly surprised by the large number of entries received, with a variety of drawings displaying the children’s imagination and talent,” said Konrad Pulé, General Manager of Malta Public Transport.
The winning design
Apart from the bragging rights that come with winning, Anthea also won a year of free travel and a 3D Printer for her school, St. Benedict College Primary School in Zurrieq.
The two runners up were also awarded prizes. Kirsten Azzopardi from St. Joseph School in Blata l-Bajda and Faye Galea from St. Dorothy’s Junior School in Zebbug both won a 3D Printer for their school.
You can look forward to seeing the new card in action next October.
