The Triton Fountain has returned to its rightful place, and is already impressing people ahead of the official Valletta 2018 launch tomorrow.

While most people are praising the newly refurbished fountain, an argument has developed on the Facebook group Is-Salott about where the fountain is actually situated.

Is it situated in Valletta, or in Floriana? 

Traditionally, Valletta was considered to start from City Gate onwards, but with City Gate undergoing many changes over the years, this belief has apparently lost weight. 

More than that, Environment Minister Jose Herrera has pointed out that where the Triton Fountain sits was historically “part of the exterior part of the Valletta fortifications.”  

But who needs history when you have Is-Salott?

There were those convinced that it is in Floriana

And those that were sure it is in Valletta

Then, there were the trolls
