‘The Perfect Storm!?’: Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Expected In The Coming Days
After weeks of persistent drought during what is meant to be one of Malta’s wettest months, the first storm is on the horizon.
The local weather page It-Temp Madwarna reported the incoming bad weather on its Facebook page. The page described how the instability approaching Malta from Tunisia “will be loaded with certain intense elements,” labelling it “the perfect storm.”
The page went on to list some scenarios which may arise in Malta in the following days so that everyone is prepared.

“It is possible that in the second part of the following day, Wednesday, we will have heavy rain and in a short time it will cause some flooding in the streets,” the page started off.
“Strong gusts of wind can be created in some areas during the storm,” the page continued. “Some rain showers may include hail.”
The page also noted that storms like this have in the past caused the average temperatures of the entire month to drop within just a few hours, given the end of November is known for its instability.
According to the Malta Airport’s weather report, we can expect thunderstorms starting from today, which could last until Saturday.
