The US Embassy Just Sent Out A Security Alert Warning About Paceville

Keep a low profile, don’t leave drinks unattended and watch out for heavy-handed bouncers. That’s the warning about Paceville which the US Embassy sent to people around the world yesterday.

Anybody subscribed to security alerts about Malta received an alert that highlights Paceville as an area full of illegal activity and heavy alcohol consumption.

They also mentioned a couple of incidents that have taken place in the past few months, including the murder of night club owner Hugo Chetcuti, and the assault of a U.S. citizen by a bouncer.

The embassy included a list of suggestions to ensure measures are taken to remain safe, including keeping a low profile, being aware of one’s surroundings and belongings, and not leaving drinks unattended.
