You’ve probably passed this massive building countless times, but its time may be coming to an end.The former pasta factory in Ħal-Balzan known as Macaroni Premier may be the next old building to be developed after a Planning Authority notice appeared on the building.

If the application to develop the building is approved, some major changes will be undertaken.

It would consist “of the demolition of the existing factory and erection of a showroom at ground floor level, offices at first, second and third floors, over three layers of basement garages.”

The application was put forward by Macaroni Premier and Moltova Products.

Anyone who would like to send a complaint or submission about this application, which is PA/5618/08, to the Planning Authority has until the 27th of April to send in their thoughts.
