In the last five days, there have been five traffic accidents involving motorcycles; they've all resulted in hospitalisation, one person has lost their life.

It all started with Sunday's devastating news that Rhys Celeste, a 24-year-old electronic musician from Birzebbugia, had died in a traffic accident in Mosta between a quad bike and a bus.

On Tuesday night, a biker was grievously injured in a collision with a car in Sliema.

Wednesday afternoon saw another motorcyclist being hospitalised, this time a 53-year-old man from Fgura who was involved in a collision with a Mazda in Triq il-Kampanella.

This morning, a woman was hospitalised after being involved in a traffic accident in Birkirkara.

That's at least one accident every single day, for the past five days.
