Two men have been grievously injured and another has been slightly injured following an accident involving a flag pole in Fgura.

Last night at around 6pm the Malta police force was informed that an incident had occurred at a home in Mahatma Gandhi Street, Fgura. Three men, aged 41, 49 and 77 were lowering a flag pole from the roof of a residence when, for some reason, the pole slipped and fell upon them.

The men were rushed to the hospital for medical assistance. The 41 and 49 year-olds were grievously injured while the 77-year-old was slightly injured, it was confirmed by medical professionals.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
