Three-Year-Old Boy Left With Grievous Injuries After Night-Time Collision In Gozo

A 3-year-old boy suffered grievous injuries last night after a collision between two cars in Għajnsielem, Gozo. 

A 71-year-old man from Għajnsielem was also injured in the collision, and needed to be lifted by helicopter to Mater Dei in Malta following the crash.

The crash involved a Smart car driven by the 71-year-old man and a Toyota Passo which was driven by a 33-year old man from Xewkija. A woman and the three-year-old boy were in the Toyota Passo.

While the driver of the Toyota suffered no injuries, and the woman suffered slight injuries, both the 3-year-old boy as well as the 71-year-old man had to be taken for medical treatment immediately.

The collision occurred at around 8:15am in Mgarr road, the same place a five-car crash happened just weeks ago.
