Titti, The Incredible Cliff-Diving Maltese Dog, Has Died
Titti, the beloved cliff-diving dog who went famous around the world for the incredible displays she would often put on at St. Peter’s Pool in Delimara, has passed away.
Speaking to Lovin Malta, Carmelo Abela, her owner and diving partner, said that after ten incredible years with Titti, his “shadow”, by his side, he was forced to put her down due to heart failure.
“With a very heartbreaking moment, I had to say goodbye to our shadow, Titti. She will always be in our hearts. And thank you for all the support you gave us while she was alive,” he said.
Titti went viral in the last few years for being an excellent diver
Her acrobatics have wowed many a tourist, as well as most of the locals, with groups of people regularly making their war to Delimara just to catch a glimpse of her.
Just this week, Titti was one of the top nominees in the Pet category in Lovin Malta’s Social Media Awards.
She will be remembered as the Diving Dog from Malta.
