Shocking images emerged yesterday of a baby being left unattended on the rear shelf of a car as it was passing through St Paul’s Bay.
The person who captured the footage with a Go Pro camera attached to his car was in utter shock with what he saw, stating on his Facebook post that he “had to stop the driver and give her a word of advice”. “I only hope to God it was taken,” the man continued.
The incident happened at around 5pm yesterday and can only be described as shocking, dangerous and highly irresponsible.
After the series of accidents Malta has had over the past few weeks, you’d think people would be more cautious on the road, especially when it concerns an infant child. Apparently not.
According to TVM, when stopped, the woman said she knew what she was doing and “was watching the child from the rear view mirror”.
Attempts were made to inform the police, but apparently the footage in question was not part of their locality and the man was informed to “go back to St Paul’s Bay”.
What do you make of this case? Does Malta need more policing on the roads?
