Truck Malfunction Ends With Concrete Being Poured All Over Road In Marsa

A post surfaced on a local Facebook Group today which showed a street lined with concrete.

Allegedly, a concrete mixer truck which was driving through Qormi Road in Marsa dripped a large amount of concrete.

The Facebook user who uploaded the image was concerned that the truck might have caused damage to other roads throughout the island.

“May the driver of the concrete mixer truck who ruined the whole length of Qormi Road Marsa and God knows how many more roads on his way be caught and made to pay for the damage,” the user commented.

This is the second construction-related mishap which took place in less than 24 hours on Malta’s roads. Yesterday, a concrete block fell off a moving truck in Żejtun.

The incident happened at around 2pm, when a giant concrete block slid off the back of a truck driving near the Montebello showroom roundabout.

The concrete block appeared to not have been properly secured, but thankfully nobody was hurt during the incident.
