Two Masked Men Steal Cash From Gżira Shop In Hold-Up
Two masked men stole cash from a shop in Gżira yesterday evening.
At around 10pm, Police were notified about a theft at a store in Pjazza Memè Scicluna.
Police convened at the site immediately and following the preliminary research it resulted that two masked men, one of them allegedly armed with a knife, entered the shop and demanded that the cashier gave them money.
The cashier was a 33-year-old man from Nepal.
Soon after, the men ran off with the cash and no one was injured.
Police are still searching for the two thieves.
Magistrate Ian Farrugia is leading an inquiry into the case and police investigations are still underway.
