Two-Year-Old Boy Left Fighting For His Life After Terrible Car Crash In Munxar

A two-year-old boy is fighting for his life after his condition worsened hours after a severe car crash in Gozo.

The accident happened after a 47-year-old woman from Munxar lost control of her car and crashed into an electricity pole. The two-year-old boy was a passenger in the car, and was severely injured in the crash.

The incident happened yesterday at around 2:45pm in Triq Ix-Xlendi, Munxar.

An ambulance was called onto the scene to take the woman and child to the Gozo General Hospital, where a doctor certified that the woman had not been injured and that the child was lightly injured.

However, hours later, the boy’s condition worsened, and he was rushed to Mater Dei via helicopter where he was then confirmed with serious injuries.

Magistrate Dr Paul Coppini has issued various experts to investigate the case. Police are continuing to look into the case.
