Unattended Open Fire At Protected Area Causes Worry Among Onlookers

A pile of garbage caught fire today at Qalet Marku campsite causing worry amongst onlookers as it raged on.

The open fire was reported to local authorities as it consumed part of the area.

The fire started in the Naxxar protected area underneath a tree which could’ve easily caught on fire had there not been anyone to report it.

The Naxxar local council took quick action and called the Civil Protection Department to put out the fire in the wildlife area.
