Just after midnight on Thursday night, thousands are expected to walk from Mellieħa to Floriana in honour of Holy Week and Good Friday,

This year’s edition of Walk The Walk is 22 kilometre and will start from Mellieħa Parish Square at 00:30, rather than the Sanctuary of Our Lady, making the walk shorter than previous editions.

From there, participants will make their way across Malta to reach Senglea, one of the Three Cities. Due to the current Marsa project, the usual route will finish at the Floriana Granaries (Fosos).

Participants can show up without registering, though a minimum of €10 needs to be donated by each walker, with all proceeds going to Puttinu Cares.

Free transport will also be available. It will leave from the Granaries to Mellieħa from 10pm onwards on Thursday night, and will also take participants back to Mellieha once the walk is over.

For transport bookings, phone on 356 99991800 or visit the official website.
