A large part of a wall in Sliema has collapsed, leading emergency responders to barricade a section of Tower Street on Thursday.

The wall, which is located just across the street from the busy Plaza shopping mall, fell at around 12:30pm today, and no one was injured in the accident. An officer on site was able to confirm that all workers had made it out without any harm.

Cars and pedestrians are not allowed to pass as police and members of the Civil Protection Department attempt to deal with the situation. It is unknown what caused the collapse.
