WATCH: 10 Lanes Down, 7 Flyovers To Go As Second Phase Of Marsa Junction Project Ends

Aldo Moro Road has now become the widest road in Malta, with ten functional lanes being completed ahead of seven flyovers to be built in the next phase.

The Marsa junction project, which is set to totally restructure the central traffic route connecting the north and the south of the island, has now entered its third phase now.

Transport Minister Ian Borg announced the completion of the second phase of the multi-year Marsa junction project, saying the project would ease congestion problems in the area.

“We have now completed the second phase of the €70 million Marsa Junction Project. We widened Aldo Moro Road from six to ten lanes. This added capacity will facilitate flows from different roads, reducing congestion difficulties,” the Minister said.
