Watch: CCTV Captures Moment Cab Crashes Into Santa Venera Hair Salon
A quiet Thursday morning took an unexpected turn in Santa Venera after a cab drove straight into a closed hair salon, with the moment captured on CCTV.
The incident happened at around 8am, when a Y-plate vehicle crashed into Marica’s Salon on Cannon Road. The car broke through the glass doors and came to a halt just before the reception desk, causing significant damage inside.

CCTV footage from the salon shows regular traffic passing by before the vehicle suddenly appears, crashing through the entrance and knocking over furniture.
Police and Civil Protection officers were on the scene shortly after. The driver, a 42-year-old man from Somalia who resides in St Paul’s Bay, was taken to hospital with slight injuries.
Thankfully, the salon hadn’t yet opened and no one else was hurt in the crash.
