Speaking on Where Everybody Knows Your Name, Liu described Abigail Borg as “incredible” for her leadership and guidance during the underwater sequences, while speaking about the training they had to undergo for the movie.

Borg is a key figure at DiveMed, a family-run dive school in Malta that specialises in underwater filming.

Last Breath, based on a true story, follows a team of deep-sea divers attempting to rescue a trapped crew mate hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface.

Filmed at the Malta Film Studios, the production showcased the expertise of Malta’s diving professionals, whose contributions were pivotal to the project’s success.

Well done to Malta’s dive team!
